Shim announces school board candidacy
Sam Shim has announced his candidacy for the Worthington Board of Education.
Shim is an active volunteer in the schools. He was a leader in the successful levy and bond issue campaigns last fall, serves on the district's treasurer's advisory committee and the community technology committee and is treasurer of the Evening Street PTA.
Shim and his wife, Rosemarie, have lived in the district for 18 years. They have two children, Sophia, 7, and Ethan, 5.
He will kick off his campaign publicly with a celebration at Rivage Atlantique from 4 to 8 p.m. April 3. The public is invited.
Board members whose terms expire this year are Marc Schare, Jennifer Best and David Bressman.
Shim is the first to announce his candidacy.
