Two Downtown Worthington sweet spots close shop

By ThisWeek Community News  •

Downtown Worthington has lost a little flavor with the closing of two sweet spots.

Blue Frost Cupcakes, 657 High St., locked its doors March 9, and Emlolly, 667 High St., will close March 31.

Blue Frost, which sold cupcakes for on-site and takeout dining and for special occasions, had been open for about three years.

The store is empty, and the phone number has been disconnected.

Emlolly, a candy store, opened 10 years ago. It sold and will continue to sell chocolates, custom candy creations and everyday favorites online and at other stores.

A note on the door said Emlolly's closing was due to "family circumstances and obligations."

Emlolly candy will continue to be sold at Weiland's Market in Clintonville, Huffman's in Grandview Heights, Morgan House in Powell, Celebrate Local in Easton and Running With Scissors in Springfield.
