Conversations in the Humanities with Fred Andrle, 7 p.m. April 22, at the Old Worthington Library, 820 High St. The Ohio State University Humanities Institute and Worthington Libraries will present "Backyard Stargazing: A Nickel Tour of the Universe." Tom Burns, director of Ohio Wesleyan University's Perkins Observatory, will show star maps of the spring skies and discuss wonders that can be seen with unaided eyes or with binoculars. The program is free and open to the public.

Worthington Historical Society Quality Book Sale, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27, at the Old Rectory, 50 W. New England Ave. Dozens of quality book donations will be made available to the public at reasonable prices. Almost all of the books are illustrated and include history books, biographies, art history, literature, cookbooks of every type, books on visiting other countries and those focused on early American architecture, interior designs in the 1800s. Meetings

Northwest Columbus Christian Women's Club, spring fashion show and brunch, 10 a.m. to noon April 24 at Brookside Country Club, 2770 W. Dublin-Granville Road. A meet and greet period begins at 9:30 a.m. In addition, Barbara Falls of Sylvania will present "How Crisis Provided Answers to Life's Most Important Questions." Cost of $17 is inclusive, payable by check or cash at the door. Reservations are necessary for brunch. Worthington Women's Club, noon April 23, at Worthington United Methodist Church, 600 High St. Johnny Steiner, singer and entertainer, will present "Coast to Coast."
