April 28 concert to feature organists

The Music Series at St. John's Worthington welcomes organists Scott Hayes and Richard Lewis for a concert featuring works by Bach, Jongen, Purvis, Curzon, Widor, Ives, Whitlock and Vierne at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at the church, 700 High St.

Hayes studied organ with Daniel Spurgeon, Phyllis Warner, Robert Griffith, and Todd Wilson, and holds a Master of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music.

Lewis has studied with theatre organists Tom Hazelton and Lyn Larsen, as well as classical organist Joan Lippincott. He is the associate organist at the Ohio Theatre, where he performs regularly alongside Clark Wilson.

There is no charge for admission; a freewill offering will be taken to support the Music Series.
