Worthington: Man's items stolen from storage site, recovered at police station

A man who realized items had been stolen from his storage locker April 15 was able to recover them at Worthington police headquarters.

The merchandise was stolen overnight March 31 from a unit at Mini Storage Depot, 580 E. Dublin-Granville Road.

It was recovered that night by an officer investigating a breaking-and-entering at a business in the 6100 block of Huntley Road. The missing items were kept at the police department.

In other Worthington Division of Police incidents:

* A resident of the first block of West Lincoln Avenue had his car stolen by a friend.

He reportedly allowed the friend to sleep in the car and left him the keys. At 10 a.m. April 15, the owner of the 2005 Toyota awoke to find the car and the friend gone.

* Someone shot a BB into a window at Duke & Duchess, 7141 N. High St. The damage was reported April 18.

* On April 16 at 11:30 a.m., a person attempted to cash a counterfeit check at Park National Bank, 7140 N. High St. The suspect was gone when police arrived.
