•Old Worthington Library and Worthington Park Library's homework help centers are open from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. The Northwest Library center is open from 4 to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Each center has dedicated computers, courtesy printing of homework-related materials and library staff and volunteers to help students with school assignments.

•Kids who use the homework help centers at any library location are invited for pizza, games and prizes during end of the school year parties on Friday, May 4. The events at Old Worthington Library and Northwest Library will start at 4:30 p.m.; the Worthington Park Library party will start at 6 p.m.

•The Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries will hold a book sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, May 3, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 4, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 5. Bestsellers, cookbooks, travel books, classics and more will be available for $1 each at Old Worthington Library. A pre-sale for Friends members is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 2; non-members can join at the sale.

•To be eligible to volunteer at the library this summer, teens must be at least 12 years old or entering the seventh grade this fall and attend one orientation session. Upcoming sessions are scheduled at Old Worthington Library on Saturday, May 4 at 2 and 4:30 p.m.; at Northwest Library on May 11 at 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.; and Worthington Park Library on May 11 at 2:30 p.m.

•On the first Saturday of each month, the library will lead a storytime in the children's area at the Shops at Worthington Place, 7227 N. High St. Each storytime, which starts at 10:30 a.m., will feature a costumed character from a favorite children's book. Curious George will be featured on Saturday, May 4.

•A Lucky Duckies Storytime will be held at Worthington Park Library at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 6.

•The next meeting of Worthington Libraries' Decanted book discussion group is planned on Tuesday, May 7. Held at 7 p.m. at House Wine, 644 N. High St., the selected title is The Emperor of All Maladies by Siddhartha Mukherjee.

• Tedd Arnold's popular Fly Guy series will be the focus of an upcoming program for kids in grades K-2. Stories, games and a craft will start at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 8 at Old Worthington Library.
