The second annual Historic Bicycle Tour returns Saturday, Sept. 14. The tour runs from noon to 3:30 p.m.

Riders will depart from and return to the McConnell Arts Center, 777 Evening St.

This event, sponsored by the Worthington Historical Society, Worthington Parks and Recreation and the McConnell Arts Center, is for anyone who likes biking and history. Children under age 9 must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants must bring their own bike. Riders will stop at the Orange Johnson House for a special tour complete with a taste of genuine pioneer bean soup. Participants may also bring their own snacks.

At each location, a docent dressed in period clothing will give fascinating accounts of the site's history.

Visit the place where settlers celebrated the Fourth of July and meet a man born in Worthington who became a general for the Confederate Army.

The tour will cover approximately two miles. The fee is $5 per person. Register through Worthington Parks and Recreation.
