Navy Ensign Dean A. Zettler, son of Zachary B. Zettler of Worthington, recently graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and was commissioned to his current rank.

Zettler successfully completed four years of intensive academic, physical and professional training. As a Naval Academy graduate, Zettler completed a four-year, total-immersion program in which strong, balanced academics focused on the educational needs of the Navy and Marine Corps is superimposed on a strict, professional military training environment emphasizing the development of leadership skills.

Zettler is a 2009 graduate of Thomas Worthington High School.

* Navy Ensign Harrison H. Haley, son of Karen C. Brown of Worthington and David A. Haley of Florida, recently graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and was commissioned to his current rank.

The class of 2013 graduated 1, 047 men and women including 603 Navy ensigns and 223 Marine Corps second lieutenants. Established in 1845, USNA is considered one of the top institutions in the country. This is the academy's 163rd traditional graduation ceremony, graduating approximately 79, 900 midshipmen, inclulding 4,000 admirals and generals, one president, 200 members of Congress, three governors, 73 Medal of Honor recipients, one Nobel Prize winner and 40 astronauts.
