The second annual Historical Bicycle Tour will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.
The event, sponsored by the Worthington Historical Society, Worthington Parks and Recreation and the McConnell Arts Center, is for all "kids" who enjoy biking and history. Children under age 9 must be accompanied by an adult.
The tour begins and ends at the McConnell Arts Center, 777 Evening St.
The ride includes stops all over town and stories about people who helped make Worthington what it is today. A stop at the Orange Johnson House will include a taste of genuine pioneer bean soup. Participants may also bring their own snacks.
At each location, a docent dressed in period clothing will describe the site's historical significance. The trip will cover about two miles.
The fee is $5 per person. Register through Worthington Parks and Recreation.
