Olde Worthington Farmers Market, 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays through October in downtown Worthington. More than 70 vendors participate, providing seasonal fruits and vegetables interspersed with flowers, plants and homemade foodstuffs. Parking is available behind the Worthington Inn and the Methodist church just one block south of the intersection of Routes 23 and 161. Call 614-285-5341.



Columbus Speech & Hearing Center, Huntington Hearing Health Program in partnership with Huntington Bank, offering free hearing screenings from 1 to 4 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of every month, Columbus Speech & Hearing Center, 510 E. North Broadway. Screenings will be offered to those ages 5 and older throughout 2013. To schedule appointments, call 614-261-5452.



Worthington Republican Women's Club, 11:30 a.m. Oct. 16, at the Worthington Municipal Building, 6550 N. High St. The meeting begins with lunch, followed by a business meeting at noon and speakers at 12:45 p.m. Scheduled to attend are Judge Dan Hawkins, Municipal Court Judge, Environmental Division; Judge James Green, Municipal Court Judge; and John Oberle, Phillip Smith and Craig Mayton, Sharon Township Trustee candidates. Worthington Women's Club, noon Oct. 22 at Worthington United Methodist Church, 600 High St. The program will be the InnerVision Trio from the School For The Blind. Visitors are welcome to hear the program and learn about the club's 30 interest groups that meet during the month. The group will not have a general meeting in November. Early sign up for the Winter Luncheon on Dec. 3 is necessary.

Support groups

Central Ohio Arthritis & Fibromyalgia Support Group, 1 p.m. Oct. 15, at the Wesley Glen Guild Center, 5155 N. High St. Dr. Carey Girgis will discuss stress management. Syntero, Northwest Counseling Services' Worthington Widowhood Support Group, a monthly meeting for men and women who have been widowed, 2 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Griswold Center, 777 High St. in Worthington. Mia Hall, with Northwest Counseling Services, will lead the program, "Open Discussion: Accepting and Coping with Physical Limitations." The group is operated at no charge.
