* Old Worthington Library and Worthington Park Library's homework help centers are open from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. The Northwest Library center is open from 4 to 7 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays. Each center has dedicated computers, courtesy printing of homework-related materials and library staff and volunteers to help students with school assignments.

* A Warm Up Worthington knit-in is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Old Worthington Library. During the event, participants will knit and crochet 7-inch x 9-inch blocks for blankets that will be donated to Columbus-area charities. Bring needles; yarn and templates will be provided.

* The next meeting of Worthington Libraries' Decanted book discussion group is planned for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3. Held at House Wine, 644 N. High St., the selected title is Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James. Registration is required.

* Northwest Library will host a LEGOs party for kids ages 9-11 at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3.

* Winter activities and stories are planned this month during Northwest Library's Fireside Tales series. Sessions will start at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 11 and 18.

* The Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka, will be the topic of the Wednesday, Dec. 4 meeting of Speaking Volumes, an evening book discussion group that meets at Old Worthington Library. A 7:30 p.m. start is scheduled.
