Tour Old Worthington homes decorated for the season while enjoying the talents of young musicians during the fifth annual Holiday Musical Tour of Homes on Sunday, Dec. 8.
The tour, scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m., will feature Chamber Music Connection (CMC) students ages 7-18 playing holiday tunes at historic locations around Old Worthington.
The event will begin at Kilbourne Hall at St. John's Episcopal Church, 700 High St., and will include 10 decorated historic homes.
All of the homes are within walking distance or are accessible by a short trolley ride provided at no additional cost.
At each stop, guests may tour a home while being treated to live seasonal and chamber music.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be served at the church, where guests may bid on holiday raffle baskets. CMC founder and artistic director Deborah Price will greet guests there.
Tickets are $20 and may be purchased in advance from Worthington merchants, including Fritzy Jacobs, House Wine, and Frame City, and, on tour day, at St. John's. Tickets also may be purchased online at cmconnection.org.
All proceeds go to Chamber Music Connection, a program designed to instill passion for the art of chamber music in present and future generations through education and performance.
CMC connects children and adults, students and professionals, along with the community, through the study and performance of chamber music.
Students from throughout central Ohio and beyond come together every Friday night at St. John's in Old Worthington to learn, practice and play chamber music.
