'I triple-dog dare ya'
No, it's not a dare similar to that in the infamous scene from A Christmas Story. Three-year-old Brian Madison merely is licking an ice sculpture carved by Paul Ahrens of Precise Ice during the Worthington tree-lighting ceremony on the Village Green on Sunday, Dec. 1.
Santa Claus flips the "high voltage" switch to light the holiday tree Dec. 2. The annual event on the southeast Village Green is hosted by the Worthington Parks & Recreation Department and features a lighting of candles and traditional holiday carols.
