Worthington Cotillion announces season

The 2014 season of Worthington Cotillion will celebrate 30 years in the community.

Worthington Cotillion is a series of privately sponsored classes that offer fifth- and sixth-grade students the opportunity to foster confidence in their social graces. Dancing and associated etiquette are emphasized in a fun, comfortable atmosphere combining instruction and games.

The season consists of one-hour classes every Tuesday evening for five consecutive weeks at the Worthington United Methodist Church beginning Jan. 7.

Two classes are scheduled: fifth grade from 6 to 7 p.m. and sixth grade from 7:30 to 8:30pm. The classes will conclude with the Capstone Party, Feb. 11, at Villa Milano. Fee for the season is $125.

Those who wish to register their child may go to worthingtoncotillion.com. Classes are limited in size by the total number of students and by the fact that there must be an equal number of girls and boys in each class.

Worthington Cotillion also announces a new dinner etiquette program for seventh and eighth graders to be held March 4, 11 and 18, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Worthington Hills Country Club. Information and registration will be announced soon on the website.
