Worthington: Vandals strike Whitney yard, vehicle

Vandals struck a yard and vehicle in the 400 block of Whitney Avenue overnight Jan. 19.

The resident reported that someone had toilet-papered his trees and front yard and defecated on and wrote vulgar words in soap on his vehicle windows.

In other Worthington police incident reports:

• At 10 a.m. Jan. 20, neighbors witnessed a juvenile breaking into a friend's apartment in the 400 block of East North Street while the family was on vacation. The residents chose not to press charges.

• The investigation continues into an alleged case of identity misuse by a man who attempted to withdraw funds using another person's identity at a bank in the first block of West Wilson Bridge Road at 11 a.m. Jan. 16.

• A window was smashed and a purse stolen from a vehicle parked at the Shops at Worthington Place between 3 and 4:35 p.m. Jan. 16.

• A vehicle was damaged while parked in the driveway of a residence in the 1100 block of Eastfield Road between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 11.
