Kromminga voted board president; Grubaugh named volunteer of year

Russ Kromminga was elected president of the board, and Rob Grubaugh was named volunteer of the year during the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting Tuesday, Feb. 18. Held at the DoubleTree Hilton at Crosswoods, the meeting was built around a theme of "Hands Together."

Chairwoman Kathryn Paugh encouraged members to shake hands as a sign of goodwill, to lend a hand to one another and to give a hand to reward business expansion.

Kromminga of Lake Business Products will succeed Ann Baldwin of Mary Kay Cosmetics.

Other newly elected officers are Craig Bringman of Craig W. Bringman Co., chairman elect, and Bill Owens of Owens Construction Contracting Co., treasurer.

Elected to the board for three-year terms were Alyssa Booms, Fifth Third Bank; Michelle Garrett, Garrett Public Relations; Grubaugh, Royal Document Destruction; Michael Maurer, The Boling & Maurer Group; and Leslie Cady McFadden, HER Realtors, Worthington office.

Grubaugh also was honored for his extensive volunteer efforts on behalf of the chamber.

Elected to a two-year term was Sean Stark of Primerica.

Appointed by the chairman to one-year terms were Skip Ivery of PNC Bank and Sunny Patel of Two Brothers/ Sharon Square/ Northwest/ Cha-teau Wine and Spirits.

Outgoing board members who were thanked for their service were Baldwin; Joe Davis, business consultant; Pat Bright, individual member; Amy Hall, DeVry University; Mona De-ringer, Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center; and Natalie Moore, CF Bank.
