Worthington: Looters target vehicles near Evening and Larimer

The residential area near the corner of Evening Street and Larimer Avenue was hit by thieves looking for loot in cars overnight Feb. 9.

Most reports were of vehicles being entered and rooted through, with nothing stolen.

Cash was reported stolen from a vehicle in the first block of Larimer Avenue, a radio from a vehicle in the 6700 block of Evening Street and a laptop from a vehicle in the 6400 block of Evening Street.

In other Worthington police incident reports:

* At a bank in the 5800 block of North High Street, employees reported that a suspect from an earlier robbery attempted to enter the bank at 10:24 a.m. Feb. 10. The suspect fled the area after being denied entry.

* A student reportedly ate food laced with a controlled substance at Thomas Worthington High School about 12:30 p.m. Feb. 12. The girl was treated at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

* Medsave Clinic, 33 E. North St., was robbed of prescription pads between Feb. 14 and 17.

* A resident of the 200 block of Tucker Drive reported that someone obtained her information and made fraudulent purchases on her American Express account between Jan. 6 and Feb. 17.

* Air-conditioning units were stolen from a building in the 500 block of Schrock Road between Feb. 1 and 14.

* A man allegedly stole items from the Kroger store, 50 W. Wilson Bridge Road, at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 9.
