Library notes

The following programs are offered by Worthington libraries. Old Worthington Library is at 820 High St.; Northwest Library is at 2280 Hard Road; and Worthington Park Library is at 1389 Worthington Centre Drive. Call 614-807-2626.

* Old Worthington Library and Worthington Park Library's homework help centers are open from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. The Northwest Library center is open from 4 to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Each center has dedicated computers, courtesy printing of homework-related materials and library staff and volunteers to help students with school assignments.

* Stories, songs and a farm animal craft are planned for Worthington Park Library's Barnyard Fun Storytime. Costumes are encouraged for the storytime, which starts at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 9.

* Teens are invited for an afternoon of role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons, Dungeon World or others at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10. No experience is necessary to attend the Northwest Library event.

* The library's English Conversation Group for new English language learners will meet at Old Worthington Library at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 14. Library staff will help participants with basic English skills practice pronunciation and talking in English.

* During the final installment in the Gardening & Beyond series, Marne Titchenell, wildlife extension program specialist at Ohio State University, will discuss landscaping and planting to live in harmony with the area's wildlife. The session will start at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the Griswold Center, 777 High St.
