Worthington: Two teens busted on drug, weapon charges

Two young men were arrested on drug and weapons charges after police were called to the Holiday Inn, 7007 N. High St., at 3:26 a.m. May 3.

While investigating reports of a disturbance, officers came upon the men in a vehicle on the south side of the hotel.

The 18-year-old occupant was arrested on outstanding warrants through Columbus police. He was taken to the Franklin County Jail.

A 17-year-old was found to be in possession of handguns and marijuana and was taken to a juvenile detention facility in Columbus.

In other Worthington police incident reports:

• Illegal drugs were found in a house in the 100 block of Winter Street, where police and medics were dispatched via a 911 call, at 7:41 p.m. May 2.

Two people were unconscious in the house and were taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital.

• Police were called to FC Bank, 5858 N. High St., on a report of a suspicious person at 10:04 a.m. May 2.

A records check showed the suspect had a warrant through Franklin County. He was taken to the Franklin County Jail.

• Overnight on April 30, rear windows were broken in vehicles in the 400 block of Schrock Road, the 400 block of Crandall Drive and the 100 block of West Selby Boulevard. Nothing was taken in any of the cases.

• Two residents of a home in the 800 block of Hartford Street reported that a home health-care worker stole medications from their home. An investigation is pending.
