Worthington: Man charged with OMVI after crashing into school

A 23-year-old man was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated after he drove his vehicle into the side of a Worthington elementary school.

The accident occurred at 3:10 a.m. May 11.

According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which jumped the curb and continued across the east lawn of Evening Street Elementary School. It then struck the building.

The driver was taken to the police department, where he was arrested and released to his father.

• Someone broke into a soda machine at the Olentangy Parklands, 600 W. Wilson Bridge Road, on May 9 or 10.

• A guest attending a play at Worthington Kilbourne Middle School, 50 E. Granville Road, lost his wallet between 7:20 and 10 p.m. May 2.

• A handgun was found on the front lawn of All Saints Lutheran Church, 6770 N. High St., at 7:46 a.m. May 11.
