A woman hungry for cash is believed to have robbed a Dairy Queen and a Cottage Inn Pizza within 15 minutes on Wednesday morning.

At 10:29 a.m., according to police, she walked into the Worthington Dairy Queen, 920 High St., and demanded cash. She had a dark semi-automatic pistol in her waistband.

The cashier complied, and the suspect fled.

At 10:40 a.m., a woman with a similar description used the same method to rob Cottage Inn Pizza, 8317 Market Exchange Drive, located near Sancus Boulevard and Lazelle Road.

The two restaurants are approximately two miles apart.

“It seems like the same person,” Worthington Lt. Jerry Strait said.

No arrests had been made Thursday morning. Both Columbus and Worthington police are investigating.

The suspect is described as a stocky white female between 25 and 33 years of age, with brown hair, wearing a ball cap, sunglasses, blue jeans, and a white sweatshirt with a pink logo. During the pizza shop robbery, she wore a bandana around her head.

Anyone with information is asked to call Worthington Police at 614-885-4463.
