Worthington: Woman caught stealing goods from gas station

A woman who allegedly stole items from a local gas station was caught and charged with theft by Worthington police Aug. 11.

The alleged theft occurred at the BP gas station, 7141 N. High St., at 10:45 a.m.

The suspect also had outstanding warrants for larceny, according to police.

In other Worthington police incident reports:

• Employees of Kroger at the Shops of Worthington Place noticed a large number of items missing from shelves Aug. 11.

A check of surveillance showed the merchandise being taken by known subjects.

• On Aug. 11, a business in the 6100 block of Huntley Road reported the theft of company checks that were used for unauthorized account activity.

• Police were called to the 200 block of Larrimer Avenue at 10:05 p.m. Aug. 13 on a report of a barking dog.

The dog was tied in the front yard and appeared to be well-cared-for, according to the report.

Residents did not answer knocks at the door or phone calls from police.
