Capriccio Columbus slates Sept. 14 concert

Capriccio Columbus will present "A Few of Our Favorite Things," featuring selections from its 2013-14 concert season, at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at Worthington United Methodist Church, 600 High St.

Admission is free; an offering will be collected during the concert.

The 65-voice choir will perform several spirituals, including Hailstork's Go Down, Moses, featuring guest soloist, Calvin Griffin; and selections from John Rutter's Feel the Spirit, featuring soloist, Alexandra Garner.

Capriccio's smaller group, Molto, will reprise some pieces from its April cabaret program.

The Capriccio Youth Choir will perform as well.

The group will perform a full season in 2014-15.

Capriccio Columbus is led by Artistic Director Larry Griffin and Associate Director Karrie Horton, and is accompanied on piano by Jim Kucera.
