Worthington Farmers Market, 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays on streets in downtown Worthington. More than 70 vendors offer Ohio grown seasonal fruits and vegetables, flowers, plants and homemade foodstuffs. Park behind the Worthington Inn and the Methodist church just one block south of the intersection of Routes 23 and 161.
Old Worthington Market Day, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 13 on the streets of downtown Worthington. The event will feature hand-crafted goods ranging from jewelry, pottery and ceramics to paintings, decorative clothing and wood products. For more information call 614-888-3040.
Junior League Bargain Box, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4 at Goodwill Columbus' Grandview-area corporate headquarters, 1331 Edgehill Road, Grandview. In addition to having a new sale venue, Junior League's 450 members will also utilize Goodwill's six retail stores in Franklin County to collect Bargain Box donations. Items collected include linens, towels, pans, baby clothes, toys and purses. Proceeds will support the Junior League's community projects, including the Kelton House Museum and Garden, Adopt-a-Backpack for Children and Kids in the Kitchen. Unsold items will be donated to Goodwill and sold in its retail stores.
AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program helps unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over find employment. The program offers paid work experience, specialized training, upgrading of skills and job-search assistance. Age, income and residency requirements apply. Ohio Dominican University, university-led Project Management Boot Camp, from 6 to 10 p.m. once a week starting Sept. 30 at its main campus, 1216 Sunbury Road.
