Thomas, Kilbourne to compete in district meets

The Thomas Worthington High School boys cross country team scored 128 points to finish fourth in the OCC-Central Division meet Oct. 13 at Hilliard Darby behind Hilliard Davidson (28), Olentangy Liberty (39) and Dublin Coffman (86) and ahead of Upper Arlington (141), Marysville (142), Central Crossing (210) and Westland (226).

Scoring for the Cardinals were Jonathan Kissel (10th, 16 minutes, 7.31 seconds), Adam Hohlbein (28th, 16:53.29), Jack Dotts (33rd, 17:08.03), Zachary Emptage (35th, 17:13.95) and Oscar Lisa (37th, 17:15.3).

Thomas will compete in the Division I, district 2 meet Saturday, Oct. 20, at Watkins Memorial.

The top five teams and top 20 individuals advance to regional Oct. 27 at Pickerington North.

The girls team finished fifth (107) in the OCC-Central meet behind Coffman (43), Davidson (51), UA (51) and Liberty (102) and ahead of Marysville (188) and Central Crossing (196).

Scoring for the Cardinals were Cheyenne Buckingham (ninth, 18:49.3), Laura Hill (14th, 19:28.75), Ariel Rittenhouse (23rd, 19:59.63), Ashley Forte (27th, 20:01.52) and Natalie Frank (34th, 20:57.16).

Thomas will compete in the district 3 meet at Watkins Memorial. The top six teams and top 24 individuals advance to regional.

The Kilbourne girls team placed seventh (173) in the OCC-Cardinal meet Oct. 13 at Darby behind Dublin Scioto (40), Dublin Jerome (66), Westerville North (72), Hilliard Bradley (100), Darby (109) and Westerville Central (146) and ahead of Westerville South (231).

Scoring for the Wolves were Kaitlyn Napoli (17th, 19:35.5), LeAnne Wegley (22nd, 19:50.45), Jenna Boue' (37th, 20:38.64), Katie Dyer (54th, 21:41.41) and Tessa Bolon (63rd, 22:11.22).

Kilbourne will compete in the district 3 meet.

The boys team finished eighth (182) in the OCC-Cardinal meet behind Westerville North (34), Jerome (51), Bradley (95), Darby (113), Scioto (148), Westerville South (150) and Westerville Central (164).

Scoring for Kilbourne were Jonathon McIntyre (24th, 16:56.21), Ian Young (28th, 17:04.76), Ben Highley (45th, 17:36.91), Alex Brothers (47th, 17:39.78) and Tanner Taylor (48th, 17:40.54).

The Wolves will compete in the district 1 meet at Watkins Memorial. The top five teams and top 20 individuals advance to regional.
