Worthington Christian's Mynes, Naim fall in district tennis tournament

The Worthington Christian High School girls tennis team's season ended Oct. 12 in the Division II district tournament when the doubles team of seniors Sarah Mynes and Corey Naim lost to Columbus Academy's Deepa Manda and Neela Nataraj 7-5, 6-4 in the first round.

Manda and Nataraj fell to the eventual district champions, Academy's Andrea Ballinger and Hannah Wexner, 6-3, 6-4 in the second round.

In the sectional tournament held Oct. 4 and 6 at Columbus School for Girls, Mynes and Naim lost to CSG's Mary Anne Click and Tiffany Lau 6-2, 6-3 in the championship match and senior Jessica Bush, a district qualifier last year, lost in the second round of singles play to Centennial's Niki Stearns 6-2, 6-3.
