Seeded third, the defending state champion Cardinals improved to 12-1-3 overall and advanced to play fifth-seeded Bexley in a district semifinal Oct. 24. The winner plays second-seeded Watterson or sixth-seeded Dublin Coffman in a district final at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Dublin Jerome.

The district champion advances to a state semifinal Nov. 2 at Upper Arlington.

Against Orange, Nina Devine had three goals and Devan Chakroff and Katie Holman both scored two.

Thomas lost to Watterson 1-0 on Oct. 3 and finished 7-2-2 in the Central Ohio Field Hockey League.

Seeded 10th, Kilbourne lost to eighth-seeded Jerome 1-0 in its district opener Oct. 16 to

finish 7-9-1 overall. The Wolves went 6-5 in the COFHL.
