The Thomas Worthington High School girls cross country team scored 290 points to place 12th in the Division I regional meet Oct. 27 at Pickerington North behind champion Hilliard Davidson (50).

The Thomas Worthington High School girls cross country team scored 290 points to place 12th in the Division I regional meet Oct. 27 at Pickerington North behind champion Hilliard Davidson (50).

Scoring for the Cardinals were Cheyenne Buckingham (17th, 19 minutes, 29.49 seconds), Laura Hill (37th, 20:15.92), Ariel Rittenhouse (81st, 21:18.42), Ashley Forte (84th, 21:22.22) and Allison Huedepohl (99th, 21:43.88).

The top four teams and top 16 individuals advanced to the state meet Saturday, Nov. 3, at National Trail Raceway. Buckingham was about five seconds behind 16th-place finisher Haley Sandvik of Westerville North, who ran 19:24.64.

For Kilbourne, Kaitlyn Napoli finished 97th (21:37.9) in the girls regional and Johnathon McIntyre finished 93rd (17:47.12) in the boys regional.
