The Worthington Kilbourne High School girls volleyball team ended its season Oct. 23 in a Division I district semifinal, losing 25-21, 25-14, 25-17 to second-seeded Pickerington North at Big Walnut.

The Worthington Kilbourne High School girls volleyball team ended its season Oct. 23 in a Division I district semifinal, losing 25-21, 25-14, 25-17 to second-seeded Pickerington North at Big Walnut.

The 10th-seeded Wolves finished 18-7 overall, tying the 2005 and 2006 teams for the second-most wins in program history behind the 2007 team, which went 19-6 and won the program's second consecutive OCC-Cardinal Division title.

Kilbourne went 9-5 in the OCC-Cardinal this year to place third, behind Westerville Central (14-0) and Hilliard Bradley (11-3) and ahead of Dublin Jerome (5-9), Hilliard Darby (5-9), Westerville North (5-9), Dublin Scioto (4-10) and Westerville South (3-11).

The Wolves swept their first two postseason matches, defeating Upper Arlington 25-23, 25-16, 25-21 in the first round Oct. 15 and Delaware 25-14, 25-22, 25-11 in the second round Oct. 17, before losing to Pickerington North.
