The Thomas Worthington High School boys basketball team will play host to Worthington Kilbourne on Saturday, Dec. 14, in the first of two meetings this season.
The teams, who will meet again Jan. 18 at Kilbourne, split of pair of matchups last season, with the Cardinals winning the first 53-42 at Thomas and the Wolves winning the second 64-22 at Kilbourne.
With its win, Kilbourne snapped a five-game losing streak against Thomas, which leads the series 10-3.
The Wolves opened Dec. 7 with a 59-57 victory over host Delaware in an OCC-Capital Division game. Michael Chambers had a team-high 23 points, Connor Silva scored 14 and Seth Hill scored 10.
The Cardinals opened Nov. 29 by beating Hilliard Darby 54-35 at home. Jaret Gerber led Thomas with 22 points, with Yemi Sholesi and Daniel Crease adding nine and eight points, respectively.
Thomas' OCC-Central Division opener against Upper Arlington was rescheduled from Dec. 6 to Jan. 21 because of bad weather.
