The 16th-seeded Worthington Kilbourne High School boys basketball team opened the Division I district tournament Feb. 21 at home by getting upset by 25th-seeded Westerville North 47-44.
Michael Chambers scored 15 points and Seth Hill had 14 for the Wolves, who finished 14-9.
The Warriors, who improved to 11-12 before playing eighth-seeded Westerville Central on Feb. 26 in the second round, took a 24-16 halftime lead.
The Wolves tied the game at 36 after three quarters, but Isaiah Keene scored five of his team-high 14 points in the fourth and Corey Benton made two free throws with 1.9 seconds remaining to help seal North's win.
Cardinals fall in tourney opener
Thomas was upset by 27th-seeded St. Charles 37-35 on Feb. 22 in the first round of the Division I district tournament at home.
Yemi Sholesi scored 12 points and Alex Baughman had six for 14th-seeded Thomas, which finished 14-9.
Sean Hennessey scored 18 points for St. Charles, and Otis Smith hit a 3-pointer for the winning points with 23 seconds left.
St. Charles improved to 12-9 and plays Friday, Feb. 28, at 19th-seeded Groveport in the second round.
