New Albany-Plain Local school board delays transportation cuts

The New Albany-Plain Local school board on Dec. 15 voted unanimously to delay transportation cuts until March 31.

New Albany schools extend busing through March

The buses will continue to roll in the New Albany-Plain school district — at least through the end of March. School board members voted last night to extend busing, which was to stop at the end of this month for students who live within 2 miles of their school.

City, Johnstown-Monroe tweaking tax-revenue deal

New Albany and the Johnstown-Monroe Local School District are amending an agreement for income-tax-revenue sharing in the International Personal Care and Beauty Campus, formerly known as New Albany's Business Park East.

New Albany-Plain Local leaders have scheduled a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11 in the 2-5 elementary cafeteria to provide parents with more information on the imminent elimination of busing for students who live within a 2-mile radius of the schools they attend.

Students from New Albany and other districts are learning how products are made through the New Albany-Plain Local Fab Lab, an MIT fabrication laboratory that opened at the high school this fall.
