The Ohio Revised Code is requiring all school districts to adopt a local policy on career advising for students beginning with the 2015-16 school year.

The South-Western City School District is projected to receive a small increase in state funding each of the next two years under Ohio's final biennium budget for 2016-17.

Preliminary data show that 89.2 percent of third-grade students in the South-Western City School District have met the benchmark set for Ohio's Third-Grade Reading Guarantee.
