Celebrating craft beer
Columbus Craft Beer Week takes place from Friday through May 20.
Columbus is home to more than 35 craft breweries, and brewers throughout the region will hold special events and offer a variety of dinners and tastings.

Food contest open
Think you have a winning food product on your hands? The Ohio Signature Food Contest offers its winner the chance to get that product to market.
The contest, sponsored by the Center for Innovative Food Technology and the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, is accepting entries through June 22. The entry form and contest rules are available at ciftinnovation.org; call 419-535-6000, Ext. 117, for more information.
Emphasis is placed on products using Ohio ingredients. Finalists will be invited to present their business concept and food product to a panel of judges. Products do not need to be fully designed or ready for market; rather, contestants should be able to communicate their vision.
The winner will receive technical and business-development assistance to help advance the product to the marketplace. The winner will be announced during a ceremony at the Ohio State Fair in late July.
Food fest set
Easton Town Center will hold its Third Annual Easton Food Festival from May 19 to 21.
Events include Food Truck Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 19, featuring food from 20 trucks and live music; Sippin’ Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. May 20, featuring a pub crawl at Easton restaurants and bars; and Sweet Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. May 21, featuring live music and sweet samples from Easton restaurants.
