For the second consecutive year, Richland Bank honored the volunteers of What Goes ‘Round Thrift Shoppe, a member of Hospice of North Central Ohio (HNCO), during National Volunteer Week.

On April 24, about 50 of the Thrift Shoppe volunteers gathered for a recognition luncheon provided by Richland Bank at the Life Celebration Reception Center in Mansfield. Chris Hiner, president of Richland Bank, thanked the volunteers for their efforts in raising money to support the patients and families served by HNCO.

Richland Bank’s Freedom Years Program Coordinator Barb Schopp-Miller spoke to the volunteers about traveling tips. A drawing for a free "Mystery Trip" for two was won by Thrift Shoppe volunteer Betty Roland, who has worked at What Goes ‘Round Thrift Shoppe for ten years.

With the exception of management, What Goes ‘Round Thrift Shoppe is operated solely by volunteers and all proceeds benefit Hospice of North Central Ohio. In 2017, the Thrift Shoppe raised $154,168. Manager Deb Brown said, "We are so thankful for the support of our volunteers. This is the largest annual donation we have given to Hospice of North Central Ohio."

What Goes ‘Round Thrift Shoppe offers an eclectic mix of upscale treasures including clothing, furniture, household items, books, and more. It is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm. Hours are extended for the Mansfield Shop Hops.

The Thrift Shoppe receives donations throughout the year and provides a furniture pick-up service. To arrange a pick-up or learn about volunteering, call 419-522-2890 or stop in the Thrift Shoppe at 113 N. Main St. in the Carrousel District of Mansfield.
