Representatives from local school districts were presented with checks from the Eagles 2418 on Nov. 8 in Millersburg. A grand total of $6,800 was given to the schools to use as they see fit, with each school receiving about $1,700. The four schools included Killbuck, Clark, Nashville and Lakeville Elementary Schools. Representing Killbuck Elementary was Carice Jameson, president of the Killbuck PTO, who said the school plans to use the money to fund the 5th-grade production of Peter Pan and make improvements to the baseball diamonds. Also from Killbuck Elementary was Principal Carrie Maltaric. Diana McMillen, Principal at Clark Elementary, was in attendance with Pam Shultz. Representing Nashville Elementary was Brian Zimmerly and from Lakeville Elementary was Camille Strickling. Coming up on Thanksgiving Day, the Eagles will cook and serve Thanksgiving Dinner for the Holmes County Home residents for the 25th year.
