Open houses also will be held at Plain City businesses and organizations after the tree lighting ceremony. Prize drawings also will be held at the open houses. Some businesses will offer holiday entertainment, and the Plain City Public Library will host a nativity scene.

The event will end with a prize drawing at the Plain City Historical Society, 111 W. Main St.
