Hometown Urgent Care is Ohio's largest Urgent Care Company with 9 locations based out of Dayton.

A newly-opened urgent care and occupational health provider offers Tri-Village area residents a convenient place to receive treatment for minor illnesses and injuries.

Hometown Urgent Care opened Nov. 2 at 2150 Marble Cliff Office Park. A grand opening celebration took place Nov. 10 featuring a ribbon cutting ceremony, special guest former OSU quarterback Craig Krenzel and tours of the facility.

"Basically, urgent care is health care that is on your schedule," said Scott Sales, director of occupational health services and urgent care operations for the Dayton-based Hometown Urgent Care.

"We've got extended hours and we're a full-service urgent care facility," Sales said.

Along with treating minor illnesses and injuries, Hometown Urgent Care also offers X-ray, EKG and lab work services at its locations, he said.

"We're here for you if it's the weekend or evening hours or if you can't get to your doctor or get an appointment," Sales said.

Hometown has a physician communication program in which all medical information regarding a person's visit to the urgent care facility is forwarded to the patient's doctor, he said.

Patients can expect to get faster treatment at Hometown for their minor maladies than at an emergency room, Sales said -- and for a lower cost.

Co-pays are generally lower than at an ER, he said.

Hometown Urgent Care has seven locations in the Dayton area. The Marble Cliff facility is its first central Ohio outlet. A facility at 44 N. High St. opened this week.

The company has plans to open four more locations in central Ohio.

"We look for places where there is a need" for an urgent care facility, Sales said.

"There isn't a place like this in the Marble Cliff area, so it's a good fit for us," he said.

Hometown Urgent Care is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
