Melissa Marie Wells and Sean Martin McCarthy were united in marriage in an Aug. 7, 2009, wedding
ceremony at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
The bride is the daughter of William and Karren Wells of Grove City. The groom is the son of Marty and Judy McCarthy of Washington, Iowa. Tera Thissen was maid of honor. Steve Mahaffey served as best man. The couple honeymooned at Sandals Grande in Antigua and is at home in Riverside, Iowa. The bride holds a bachelor's degree in music from Capital University and a master's degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music. A former music teacher in the South-Western City Schools, she is now employed by Vetter's Culligan Water.
