• Between 8 p.m. Oct. 27 and 2 a.m. Oct. 28, in the city of Newark: A man reported he was abducted and assaulted by a man he had given a ride. He said his attacker forced him to withdraw $550 from his bank account and then told him to pull over and get out.
• Between 1 and 1:28 a.m. Oct. 30, in the 200 block of Hoover Street: A woman reported a young male who said he was looking for her son entered her home via a rear door. He pushed her out of the way and fled, she said. • 2:30 p.m. Oct. 28, Newark High School, 314 Granville St.: Police detained a student with 13 pills in his possession. The principal said he saw the student attempt to give the pills to another student. • Between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 27, Newark High School: A girl said another student threatened her. • Burglary and break-in reports were made last week from the first block of Wyoming Street, the 300 block of North 11th Street, the first block of Allen Street, the 600 block of Glenbrook Drive and the first block of McKinley Avenue. • Between 1 and 4 a.m. Oct. 28, in the 300 block of Everett Avenue: Someone set fire to a trash bin filled with paper to be recycled. • 12:11 p.m. Oct. 29, Newark Digital Academy, 255 Woods St.: Workers reported someone cut a hole in the rubber roof of a building. • 6:02 p.m. Oct. 29, in the 300 block of Zelora Avenue: A woman reported someone used her personal information to get a credit card. • 12:13 p.m. Oct. 31, in the 700 block of Patton Street: Police charged a man with drug abuse. • 1:15 a.m. Oct. 31, Mount Vernon Road: Police charged a woman with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs (OVI) and driving the wrong way on a divided highway. • 12:29 a.m. Oct. 30, state Route 79: Police charged a man with two counts of OVI and marked lanes. • 11:43 p.m. Oct. 30, Elizabeth Street: Police charged a man with drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and failure to signal. • 10:11 p.m. Oct. 30, Pierson at Mount Vernon Road: Police charged a man with speeding, failure to signal and permitting drug abuse. • 4:05 p.m. Oct. 29, in the 300 block of East Main Street: Police charged a woman with possession of drugs and driving with a suspended license. • 11:30 a.m. Oct. 28, Newark High School: Police charged a teen with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. • 11:35 a.m. Oct. 27, in the 100 block of West Church Street: Police charged a teenage girl with assault. • 9:57 p.m. Oct. 27, in the 200 block of Woods Avenue: Police charged a teen and a man with domestic violence. • 10:47 p.m. Oct. 27, in the 100 block of West Church Street: Police charged a man with violation of a protection order, domestic violence and aggravated burglary. • 12:20 a.m. Oct. 26, in the 100 block of Jefferson Road: Police charged a woman with domestic violence. • 2:12 a.m. Oct. 26, in the first block of Weston Road: Police charged a man with domestic violence. • 1:31 a.m. Oct. 26, in the 600 block of West Church Street: Police charged a 20-year-old with underage possession of alcohol and obstructing official business and charged an 18-year-old with aggravated menacing and criminal damaging. • 4:37 p.m. Oct. 26, in the first block of North Avenue: Police charged a man with domestic violence. • Between 5:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 28, in the 700 block of 30th Street: A woman reported the theft of cash from her purse, which was in a locked cabinet in her office. • 8:29 a.m. Oct. 27, Hopewell Drive: Police impounded two bicycles found on the bicycle path. • 4:28 p.m. Oct. 27, Giant Eagle, 553 Hebron Road: Police charged a man with petty theft and possession of criminal tools. Employees said he took a bottle of liquor and two cases of beer without paying for them. • 10:12 p.m. Oct. 26, in the first block of Indianhead Drive: Police charged a woman with domestic violence and assault. • 3:35 p.m. Oct. 25, Beaver Run Road and state Route 79: Police charged a Newark man with felony failure to comply with the order or signal of an officer, speeding, reckless operation and failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead. • 10:19 a.m. Oct. 29, Target, 270 Central Parkway: Police charged a Newark woman with petty theft. • 7:55 p.m. Oct. 28, in the 1200 block of Thornwood Drive: Police charged a woman with falsification. • 12:57 p.m. Oct. 30, Sears, 771 30th St.: Police charged a woman with petty theft. • 1:29 a.m. Oct. 26, Sunset Dorm: Campus security officials said they would file charges regarding a loud party, with 100 people in a dorm room. • 4:40 p.m. Oct. 28, in the 500 block of West College Street: A woman reported a caller, claiming her husband had bought a car, asked for her husband's Social Security number. Police advised her to check her credit report to see if she and her husband had become victims of identity theft. • 1:12 p.m. Oct. 29, Fackler's Garden Center, 2326 Newark-Granville Road: Police charged a man with a felony count of theft and a felony count of tampering with evidence. • 2:30 p.m. Oct. 27, Granville High School: Police sent charges to the juvenile court on a 15-year-old boy with a bag of marijuana in his possession. • 3:03 a.m. Oct. 26, in the 1000 block of Cherry Valley Road: Police charged a Johnstown woman with OVI. • 3:40 p.m. Oct. 24, Jersey at Oregon streets: A boy Street: Two women reported they were being harassed. • 4:04 p.m. Oct. 29, in the 100 block of Crestview Drive: Police investigated a woman's report that she had been targeted for a scam through the of drug paraphernalia. • 11:41 a.m. Oct. 28, Ohio Fresh Eggs, 12280 Croton Road, Croton: Deputies reported a worker, Benjamin Schwartz Jr., of Geneva, Ind., died when he fell from a roof of a barn under construction. • 1:20 p.m. Oct. 22, in the 12200 block of Mount Hope Road, Glenford: A man reported he received two checks for custom work for a total of $4,200 that proved to have been written on a closed account. • 4:51 p.m. Oct. 22, in the 6100 block of Licking Trails Road, Newark: A woman reported someone made unauthorized charges in her name totaling $1,300. • Between 6:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Oct. 22, in the 600 block of O'Neil Drive, Hebron: A woman reported the theft of her purse from her workplace. • 7:40 a.m. Oct. 22, in the first block of First Avenue, Pataskala: A man reported the theft of a 1982 Yamaha motorcycle. • Between 7 p.m. Oct. 19 and 3:30 a.m. Oct. 20, in the 12200 block of School Lane Road, Croton: a woman reported she left her purse on top of her car and a neighbor found it -- minus $300 and credit cards, she said. • Between 5 p.m. Oct. 21 and 3:08 a.m. Oct. 22, TA Truck Stop, 10408 Baltimore Road, Kirkersville: A driver reported someone cut a fuel line on his truck and stole an undetermined amount of fuel. • Between 3 and 10 a.m. Oct. 26, in the 100 block of Main Street, Kirkersville: A man reported he left his vehicle when the battery went dead, and when he returned it was gone. • Between 5 p.m. Oct. 25 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 26, in the 9900 block of French Lake Drive, Reynoldsburg: A man reported someone broke into a storage garage and stole an air compressor, a grass bagger and a refrigerator. • Between 2 and 3 a.m. Oct. 26, in the 1500 block of Martinsburg Road, Newark: A man reported someone shot his house with paintballs. • Between 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23 and 10 a.m. Oct. 27, in the 9600 block of Johnstown-Utica Road, Johnstown: A man reported someone forced open his garage door and stole hunting items worth a total of $1,250. • 10:41 p.m. Oct. 27, in the 1200 block of Beaver Run Road, Hebron: A man reported the theft of $3,500 from under his bed, sometime after Sept. 22. • Between 5 p.m. Oct. 22 and 5 p.m. Oct. 27, in the 7300 block of Dog Hollow Road, St. Louisville: A resident reported the theft of three gold and diamond rings worth a total of $1,480. • Between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Oct. 23, in the 11300 block of Jug Street, Johnstown: A resident reported someone entered his home and stole a $9,200 flat-screen television, a $900 TV and $1,500 worth of jewelry. • Between 7 p.m. Oct. 23 and 8 a.m. Oct. 24, Cumberland Trails Golf Course, 8244 Columbia Road, Pataskala: A worker reported someone drove onto the 15th green and caused $500 in damage. • Between 3:30 p.m. Sept. 30 and 4:27 p.m. Oct. 24, in the 8000 block of York Road, Pataskala: A resident reported the theft of copper wire from a shed. • Between midnight and 9:20 a.m. Oct. 25, in the 2900 block of Martinsburg Road, Newark: A woman reported the theft of her 1994 Nissan Pathfinder with the keys inside. • Theft from or vandalism to autos was reported from the 13300 block of National Road, Reynoldsburg, and the 8300 block of Painter Run Road, Pataskala. • 12:38 a.m. Oct. 22, in the 11600 block of Appleton Road, Croton: Deputies charged a man with domestic violence. • 8:15 p.m. Oct. 22, in the first block of Seventh Avenue, Pataskala: Deputies sent violation of a protection order charges to the law director for review. • 1:36 a.m. Oct. 23: Deputies arrested a Whitehall woman on a felony warrant. • 8:40 p.m. Oct. 23, Hickman at Montgomery roads, Newark: Deputies charged a man with a felony count of possession of drugs, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. • 10 a.m. Oct. 29, in the 400 block of Olive Street, Caldwell: Deputies arrested a woman on a felony warrant. • 2:47 p.m. Oct. 29, in the 100 block of Brennan Drive, Newark: Deputies arrested a man on felony drug-possession warrants. • 3:03 p.m. Oct. 29, Licking County Jail: Deputies reported a Newark man surrendered at the jail.
