The Rotary Club of Union County proudly will hold an art auction and Holiday gathering with the
proceeds from the event to benefit the Rotary Club of Union County's annual "Service Above Self"
Scholarship.
The Service Above Self Scholarship recognizes a Union County student who excels in leadership and service in the local community. The art auction, presented by Marlin Art of New York, features approximately 160 pieces of artwork, including watercolors, oils, lithographs and serigraphs. Featured artists include Wooster Scott, LeRoy Neiman, Delacroix, Chagall, Tarkay, Lena Liu, Norman Rockwell and others. The pieces will be presented, explained, and auctioned in a manner that will be appreciated by both gallery collectors and art novices alike. Tickets to attend the event are $15 ($20 at the door) and include complementary wine from Eldchrist Winery in Plain City, and hors d'oeuvres. A brief presentation will update attendees on the Rotary Club of Union County's accomplishments and goals for 2010-2011. The event will take place at Honda Marysville, 640 Colemans Crossing Blvd., Marysville, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 8. Tickets can be purchased at either Liberty National Bank or the Union County Chamber of Commerce. Questions regarding the event should be directed to Pete Emmons, (937) 644-1871. The Rotary Club of Union County provides college scholarships to Union County high school graduates, participates in Project Life Saver, volunteers at the Marysville Personal Needs Pantry, and makes donations to numerous causes/organizations such as Union County Care Train, Project Lifesaver, and Literacy United. The Rotary Club of Union County meets every Friday at noon at Old Town Inn in Marysville. Meetings are open to the public.
