The following is a list of Metropolitan Park District of Columbus and Franklin County programs for this week.

Blacklick Woods Metro Park

6975 E. Livingston Ave., Reynoldsburg

Oh Deer, 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Learn fun facts about white-tailed deer on a short walk.

Homeschoolers: Astronomy, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Nature Center. Learn the basics of backyard star-gazing. Bring binoculars.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

4265 State Route 161 E., Westerville

Preschoolers: Fur and Feathers, Scales and Skin, 1 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Touch various animal coverings and learn why they are so different.

Photo Prowl, 10 a.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Search for photo opportunities on the trails.

Homeschoolers: Turkey Talk!, 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Nature Center. Learn how turkeys came to play such an important role in the Thanksgiving holiday.

Inniswood Metro Gardens

Westerville

Wild Ones: Wild Experiences, 10 a.m. Saturday at the Innis House. A panel of Wild Ones members will share their native plant experience and answer questions.

Pickerington Ponds

Metro Park

Canal Winchester

Off-Trail Adventure, 1 p.m. Saturday at the Glacier Knoll Picnic Area. Explore rarely-seen parts of the park on a two-mile off-trail hike.

Owls of Autumn, 5 p.m. Saturday at the Glacier Knoll Picnic Area. Try to lure in owls and other creatures with calls.

Hike Along the Greenway, 2 p.m. Sunday at the Glacier Knoll Picnic Area. Take a four-mile walk along the Blacklick Creek Greenway Trail.

Three Creeks Park

3860 Bixby Road, Groveport

Busy Beaver, 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Confluence Trails bulletin board. Hike on- and off-trail and search for signs of this furry architect.

Backyard Birds, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Heritage Nature Center, 551 Wirt Road, Groveport. Learn about different types of bird feeders, seeds and ways to attract birds.
