Free professional development workshops slated

Franklin University's Center for Professional Training and Development will offer the following free professional development workshops. Each program runs from 9 a.m. to noon in Alumni Hall's Ross Auditorium on Franklin University's main campus. • Wednesday, Nov. 18: a Leadership & Delegation • Thursday, Dec. 3: Quality Management • Wednesday, Dec. 9: Time Management • Thursday, Dec. 10: OSHA Workshop: Lock-Out/Tag-Out and Machine Guarding (All OSHA workshops are held from 9 to 11 a.m. in Phillips Hall, room 220.) Olentangy High School graduate Jeremy Henthorn has been named the director of the Ohio Film Office, Lisa Patt-McDaniel, director of the Ohio Department of Development, has announced. Henthorn is responsible for developing strategies to build the film production industry in Ohio, the implementation of the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit program, and strengthening Ohio's film industry crew base. The office works with local film organizations and commissions to market the state to production companies.
