Hawk, Burris win in Jackson Twp.

Newcomer Daphne Hawk and incumbent David Burris won Jackson Township trustee seats Nov. 3.
They defeated incumbent Bill Lotz. According to unofficial results form the Franklin County Board of Elections, Hawk received 7,891 votes, or 37 percent of the total. Burris received 7,069 votes, or 33 percent, while Lotz received 6,577 votes, 30 percent. In an unrelated ballot item, Grove City voters in one precinct approved Sunday liquor sales from 10 a.m. to midnight for Parkers Tavern at 3998 Broadway. Issue 25B, the liquor issue for the tavern, passed by 56 votes. Voters approved the issue with 257 for it and 201 against. Issue 26B, a liquor option for the Walmart Supercenter at 1693 Stringtown Road, also passed. The issue will allow Sunday sales from 10 a.m. to midnight.
