Council member happy to continue serving
of confidence
Wednesday, November 11, 2009 1:34 PM
I want to thank the residents of Upper Arlington for giving me the honor of serving them for four more years by re-electing me to city council Nov. 3. As a resident I also want to thank all the other candidates who put their names forward this past election. It takes a lot of hard work to run a campaign and the fact that so many talented people are willing to serve is a testament to why Upper Arlington continues to be such a great city. Thank you Upper Arlington. Thank you for putting your trust in me to serve you on city council for the next four years. I am humbled by the support I received during the campaign and I pledge that I will work tirelessly on council to be deserving of your support. I would also like to congratulate all of the other council candidates for running strong campaigns that engaged in healthy debate about Upper Arlington's future. All of the candidates have provided a valuable contribution to our community that should be commended. I want to thank the many volunteers who walked with me to visit 90 percent of the homes in the city, who placed yard signs in their yards and businesses, who donated generously, and most importantly, who believed in me. Finally, I would like to thank Herb Gillen Advertising for managing my campaign. Their solid strategy and creativity helped our campaign shine. During this campaign, we collected more than 2,000 e-mail addresses of residents who want to be informed about issues and who want to take part in our electronic polling. If you would like to be added to our list, please e-mail me at David@DavidDeCapua.com. I will not share your information with anyone but will use this to provide information to you and receive feedback as I serve on council. Again, I want to thank the citizens of Upper Arlington for their support in last week's election. I look forward to serving you on council. I want to thank the residents of Upper Arlington for electing me to serve them as a city council member for another four years. It has been an honor to serve as a member of council for this great city for the last four years. I am humbled by the confidence voters have again placed in me. I want to also acknowledge all of the candidates for council. It is not easy to put yourself "out there" for election and UA was blessed with seven very talented people willing to serve this community. I am certain they will all continue to serve in various ways to make UA a better place. Lastly, I want to thank outgoing council members Don Leach and Linda Mauger for their service to UA. You will both be missed. Story toolsToday’s Top Stories
