• 1 p.m. Oct. 13, in the 3600 block of Eakin Road: A woman reported she was walking to her car when a couple approached her. The man grabbed and held her as the woman stole her purse, she said. They fled in a blue car. Her debit card was used four times in the next half-hour, police said.
• 11 p.m. Oct. 12, in the 3900 block of Sullivant Avenue: A man reported three men attacked him and stole his car keys and wallet, which the victim said contained $3,000. • 1:12 a.m. Oct. 14, in the 3600 block of Farmhurst Lane: Police responded to a report of shots being fired. They found no victims, but collected some evidence, police said. • 1:30 a.m. Oct. 13, Demorest at Clime roads: A woman reported a friend beat her following an argument. • 10 a.m. Oct. 16, Key Bank, 3505 Sullivant Ave.: A man confronted a security guard and forced him inside the bank at gunpoint, then ordered him to sit and told the tellers to give him money. The tellers complied, but put a dye pack in his black leather bag. The man left the bank and ran to the west. The robber was described as white, between the ages of 20 and 30, wearing a hooded OSU sweatshirt, sunglasses, a dark scarf, gloves and blue pants with silver stripes. Anyone with any information is asked to call police detectives at 645-4665 or the FBI at 744-2168. • 5:40 a.m. Oct. 18, Wedgewood Drive at Eakin Road: A man reported three males attacked and beat him, stealing $150. Also at the school at 9:13 a.m. Oct. 14, two teenage boys reported someone stole the lock off their gym locker and took cash. • 7:33 a.m. Oct. 13, in the 3900 block of West Broad Street: A worker reported the theft of a $3,000 trailer containing $1,500 worth of tools. • 12:35 a.m. Oct. 12, in the 3800 block of Sullivant Avenue: Police reported Eric Okimi Peralta Romero, 22, died as a result of a shooting at a wedding reception. No arrests have been made. • 11:17 p.m. Oct. 11, in the 2000 block of Eakin Road: Witnesses told police a driver appeared to intentionally hit a man with his car in front of the Thirsty Whale bar. The driver had been squealing his tires and turning circles with the car. The victim was thrown between 50 and 70 feet, police said. Medics took him to Mount Carmel West Hospital in critical condition with major head and body trauma, police said. • 9:40 a.m. Oct. 9, in the 2100 block of West Mound Street: A man reported he was attacked by a man and a woman who stabbed him outside this address. Medics took him to Mount Carmel West Hospital where he was in stable condition. • 12:29 a.m. Oct. 7, South Hague Avenue at Whitehead Road: Police dispatched on a report of a shooting found one man and four teenagers who said they had been shot at. No injuries and no damage were reported. Two individuals said they were the intended targets. Police said a fight broke out after the shooting and two people were treated by medics at the scene for injuries related to the fight. Police referred those involved to the city prosecutor if they wanted to file charges. • 5:15 p.m. Oct. 3, Interstate 70 westbound at I-270: A woman reported another driver forced her 2007 Toyota off the roadway, then followed her and blew his horn. • 8:50 a.m. Oct. 8, in the 4400 block of Equity Drive: Police reported a man sustained a serious injury when another man hit him in the face during an argument over work issues. • Oct. 6, in the 800 block of Harwood Drive: Police charged a man with burglary in connection to a Sept. 1 burglary. • Oct. 7, in the 600 block of Wedgewood Drive: Police charged a man with domestic violence and assault. • Between 8 a.m. Oct. 5 and 11 a.m. Oct. 9, Venture Court at North Wilson Road: A worker reported a $67,500 Komatsu front loader was stolen. • 1:20 p.m. Oct. 2, Briggs High School, 2555 Briggs Road: Police found a student brought a pair of brass knuckles to the school. • 5 a.m. Oct. 16, in the 4600 block of Hilton Avenue: Deputies reported a resident's head was grazed by a bullet after he answered a knock at his door and five of six shots rang out. Medics took him to Grant Hospital. No shots were reported and no injuries were reported. • 8:52 p.m. Oct. 8, Kentucky Fried Chicken, 4828 W. Broad St.: A man demanded money and implied that he had a handgun and that he had planted a bomb in the restaurant. He received no cash and left behind the note demanding money. • 1 p.m. Oct. 7, Hall Road at Beaujolais: A motorcycle rider said a passing motorist threw a can of soda at and hit him. A deputy stopped the other driver, who admitted to throwing out the can, but said he didn't think it would hit the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist indicated he would press assault charges. • Between 9 and 10:30 p.m. Oct.9, in the 4500 block of Grants Lane: A woman reported a burglar kicked in the front door of her home and stole a $1,000 flat-screen television and an XBox360. • Between noon and 8:15 p.m. Oct 10, in the 800 block of Hubbard Road: A woman reported an intruder who forced his way into this house smashed windows, punched holes in the drywall and shattered the toilet and sink. Deputies said they suspected it was filled with heroin. • 8:30 p.m. Oct. 9, Beacon Hill at North Murray Hill Road: Deputies charged a man with possession of drugs after finding two white pills in his possession. When asked what he was carrying in his hand, the man said it was a bomb. Police said they intended to file charges of possession of illegal explosive ordinance. • 5:30 p.m. Oct. 13, in the 2500 block of Norton Road: Deputies charged a man with obstructing official business when he lied to them during an investigation. • Between 8 a.m. Oct. 3 and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 13, in the 1700 block of Westbrook Drive: A man reported a burglar broke out a basement window, crawled in and stole three televisions and a BB gun. • Between 1:05 and 5:24 a.m. Oct. 8, in the 400 block of Georgesville Road: Workers reported an intruder pried open a rear door and stole cash. • Between 7 p.m. Oct. 8 and 7 a.m. Oct. 9, in the 3700 block of West Broad Street: A worker reported a1997 car from was stolen from a car lot.
