The week will culminate on April 25 with the "Diggin' with Devore Spring Community Plunge," named for retiring college president C. Brent DeVore. Students, alumni, faculty and staff members will go into Westerville and Columbus neighborhoods to perform a day of service, according to Hill. Cleanup efforts will be performed at McVey Elementary School, Hanby House, Goodwill Columbus, the Humane Society of Delaware County, McKendree United Methodist Church, Annehurst Elementary School, United Methodist Children's Home, Genoa Middle School, Dreams on Horseback, Habitat for Humanity, Hawthorne Elementary School, Alcott Elementary School and the Westside Free Store. Registration for the initiative begins at 8:30 a.m. April 25 at the Otterbein Campus Center, 100 W. Home St. DeVore will kick off the day by planting a bush at the center, according to Hill.
