Otterbein College hosts Nov. 20 concert

The Otterbein College Early Music Ensemble and the Otterbein Vocal Ensemble will present a program of early music at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, in Battelle Fine Arts Center's Riley Auditorium, 170 W. Park St., Westerville.

Included in the program will be such American musical traditions as the "FaSoLa Singing School" and "Fife and Drum."

The Otterbein College Department of Music will present an evening of vocal and instrumental jazz featuring Opus One and the Otterbein College Jazz Ensemble on Friday, Nov. 13, at Church of the Messiah United Methodist, 51 N. State St., Westerville.

The program begins at 8 p.m. and will feature music recorded by the Count Basie Orchestra.

Tickets are $5 general admission and may be purchased at the door beginning 45 minutes before the performance. Tickets will not be sold in advance. Students will be admitted free.

The Otterbein College Department of Music will present a choral concert featuring Camerata, the Otterbein Singers and the Women's Chorale at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15 at Church of the Messiah United Methodist, 51 N. State St., Westerville.

A variety of choral works, including music of Advent and the Christmas season, will be offered. More than 100 students from the Department of Music and across campus comprise the ensembles.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The Otterbein Wind Ensemble will present its autumn quarter concert at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, in Cowan Hall's Fritsche Theatre, 30 S. Grove St., Westerville.

The ensemble will perform works by Darius Milhaud and Gabriel Faure.

The concert is free and open to the public.
