The Westerville Symphony at Otterbein College will open its 27th season with the first of three performances in the Ron Lykins Masterworks Series at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, in Cowan Hall's Fritsche Theatre, 30 S. Grove St., Westerville. The concert, titled "The Romantic Cello," features Michael Torke's "Javelin;" Richard Strauss' "Till Eulenspiegel's lustige Streiche; and cellist Scott Kluksdahl's performance of Edward Elgar's Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85. Peter Stafford Wilson leads the 84-member ensemble. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors and $8 for students, and are available at the door, online at www.westervillesymphony.org or by calling (614) 899-9000.
