The Union County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Richwood Police, Plain City Police, Memorial Hospital and the Union County Drug Free Coalition, will sponsor a prescription-drug take-back day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the Union County Sheriff’s Office, 221 W. Fifth St., Marysville.
The DEA’s national Prescription Drug Take Back Day is April 29.
Residents are encouraged to turn in potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescriptions. Pills, patches and other solid prescriptions will be accepted. Liquid, needles or other sharps will not be accepted.
The take-back process is anonymous, and no questions will be asked. Area residents also may use the permanent prescription drop-off boxes provided by the sheriff’s office in the Union County Justice Center at the Plain City Police Department, 231 Friend St., and at the Richwood Police Department, 153 N. Franklin St.
